Perfect for those new to yoga or looking to refresh the basics, this series is designed to help you build confidence, improve flexibility, and feel great.
The workshop is limited to eight participants, so that everyone gets individualized attention. If the workshop books up, we will add more dates and times.
Kathy Gursky started doing yoga at age 50. She gradually evolved from a dedicated yoga student to a trained yoga teacher at Los Alamos Fitness Center, where she taught a mixed-level yoga class twice a week, and occasionally taught the chair exercise class there as well. During the COVID closure she switched her mixed-level classes to an online Zoom format, and added the regular, twice-weekly chair-based classes on Zoom for students who do not want to move down to the floor for exercise. More recently, she has added a Yoga Basics class for in-person yoga training. This is a gentler, basics-oriented class with a focus on doing yoga to fit your body.
Kathy has completed her 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher training as well as several 100-hour certifications, including Active (Senior) Adults, Wellness, Warriors, and Women.
